About

My journey into miniatures began around sixteen years ago. I was looking for a creative outlet and, although I had ambitious plans to build full-sized furniture, I found myself drawn to working on a much smaller scale instead. What started as a hobby creating 1:12 scale pieces gradually developed into a passion for the smaller scales, and today I create handcrafted miniature furniture and accessories for collectors and enthusiasts.

I work mainly in 1:48 scale, with a growing collection of pieces in 1:24, and I’m currently exploring what is possible in 1:144. What fascinates me is the challenge of capturing the appearance, character and functionality of full-sized furniture at such small dimensions. Wherever possible, I include working drawers, hinged doors and other functional details, because for me that's part of what makes miniature furniture so rewarding. It's not just about how a piece looks, it's about how it works.

Furniture has always been my main focus. While I admire beautifully finished dolls' houses and detailed dioramas, I've always been fascinated by the individual object itself. Alongside furniture, I also create turned pieces and miniature books. My turned acrylic vases have become particularly popular, with every vase being completely unique. Although they are sometimes available online, they are consistently most popular at in-person events, where their individuality and remarkably small scale can be fully appreciated.

Much of my inspiration comes from antique furniture and traditional woodworking. I can easily lose hours studying old pieces, visiting second-hand furniture shops or exploring historic houses, looking for details that can be adapted to miniature scale. The research is often as enjoyable as the making itself.

Working at this scale is not without its challenges. Ideas arrive far faster than I can make them, and some techniques refuse to cooperate when reduced to a fraction of their original size. Yet that constant problem-solving is part of what keeps the craft interesting. Every piece teaches me something new.

What I love most is creating something tangible and entirely handcrafted. There is a quiet satisfaction in holding a finished piece in the palm of your hand and knowing that every detail, from the overall design to the smallest working drawer, has been made with care.
